Is 1&1 a good/reliable domain name registrar/host?

Question by love may last all right in a bibliotheque: Is 1&1 a good/reliable domain name registrar/host?
I was thinking of setting up my blog using their hosting and domain name registration since you get a year free plus 2 domain names for $ 6 a month, are they reliable/good, etc? Anything I should know? I am planning to set up a few pages (Specifically a wordpress blog, a page with photography, etc)
