Does Hostgator charge every month, or does it charge all at once?

Question by ally: Does Hostgator charge every month, or does it charge all at once?
I want to sign up with Hostgator for a website, and I'm using a checking card. The card only has $ 20 dollars on it now, and i can keep about $ 20 on it every month, I wanna know if Hostgator will charge me the 5.69 every month, or if it'll charge me the total cost for all the months now?
