Q&A: What sort of web hosting package is best for running / reselling an audio streaming/storage service?

Question by adam: What sort of web hosting package is best for running / reselling an audio streaming/storage service?
If I wanted to run a service which would operate maximum in state of art server side scripting capabilities for online music collaboration running through the servers, and also for reselling storage server space by the gigabyte, what packages give the best scope for this?

Not looked at online hosting for a while so thought I'd ask the community here first.
