How do I find out which partition number linux is running on?
I have five partitions, i found out with command prompt on windows.

Answer by KarlYou only have 4 windows compatable partitions on the HDD... that is all that a HDD will accept.

That other "partition" is the Linux space.

The partition information should be giving you detail as to partition type ie, NTFS, fat32, etc.
