Q&A: Web hosting company with MySQLi and a tech support hotline?

Question by JoeyV: Web hosting company with MySQLi and a tech support hotline?
I need a decent webhosting company that allows remote database access (with no SSH tunneling or other BS involved). I need MySQLi since I wrote a buunch of stuff in MYSQLi that I dont want to rewrite. My current webhosting company disabled innodb and thus my business is out of business and they have no tech support phone number (I know stupid mistake). Please help me correct my stupid mistake.
