Question by John: What is the best Linux distribution for a beginner?
I don't know anything about Linux. Should be easy to use and should be an active and popular distribution that is still updated from time to time and has an active developer team.

Answer by The TechnomancerUbuntu 10.04 and Mint are user-friendly and often updated. They also have good support forums.
